Secondary syphilis with framboesiform lesions.

چکیده

An unusual case of secondary syphilis is presented. A 40 year old Chinese male presented with a one-month history of a scaly scalp with purulent discharge, and crusted papules and nodules on the face, body and genitals. A diagnosis of secondary syphilis was confirmed, and he responded rapidly to treatment.

A 15-year-old schoolgirl presented with a generalised progressive skin rash of six months' duration, which had been previously diagnosed as psoriasis. Ulcerated lesions in secondary syphilis are rare. Exuberant tissue is seen in condylomas of syphilis, which occur in flexural and occluded areas of the body and not in open areas such as palms. We report a case of secondary syphilis that presented with ulcerated exuberant lesions on palms, which on initial examination gave an impression of lesions of Orf and Milker's Nodule.
